I just started a new job in Investor & Public Relations for a financial firm. I need advice on professional development . . . what organizations should I join? Whjat conferences and/or seminars should I consider attending? Are there any certificate programs I should think about taking?
I’m looking to better myself in this field. Any advice would be priceless!

Not for nothing, but wouldn’t your company tell you whether or not it is recomended you take stuff like series 7 or whatev. They do pay for whatever certs you take usually in finance, even some MBA programs. And don’t most financial firms have conferences in-house?
